FuturePlan is a practical framework for returning meaningful authority to the people.
It brings together continuing democratic participation, accountable representation, constitutional renewal, the progressive elimination of personal taxation, economic independence and a strong national defence under civilian and democratic control.
Citizens would be able to initiate proposals, examine government decisions, hold representatives accountable and participate directly in major national choices.
These proposals are not presented as unquestionable answers. They are an invitation to examine what is possible, identify weaknesses, improve the ideas and allow informed citizens to decide their future.
You Can Change The Future
The saying goes: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
We have been voting for political parties for decades and where has it led us? Their policies only benefit the political parties and their business partners. Very little, if any benefit, returns to We the People. This is madness. We do not have direct access to policy makers. We cannot influence policies, escept by the broad stroke of voting out a political party. This has created grave dissatisfaction among the people. Future Plan presents strong, new ideas to reverse the damage done by the political parties, and create a vibrant nation which is governed by the people through direct representation. We will have a say in the future of our country.
Government does not have to remain distant, secretive and controlled by political parties. When citizens possess effective democratic tools, reliable information and enforceable constitutional protections, they can help shape the direction of their communities and nation.
FuturePlan proposes that major reforms be examined openly, tested carefully and decided by an informed population. Government representatives would exercise only the authority entrusted to them and would remain answerable to the people they serve.

What FuturePlan Could Achieve
FuturePlan offers practical proposals for building government of the people, by the people, for the people—open, accountable and subject to continuing public control.
- A continuing democratic voice: Citizens could initiate proposals, participate in secure public ballots and exercise meaningful oversight between elections.
- Representatives who remain accountable: Local representatives could be questioned, reviewed, recalled and replaced through clearly defined democratic procedures.
- A Constitution written with the people: Constitutional congresses would allow Australians to examine and debate reforms before deciding upon them through binding referendums.
- The progressive elimination of personal taxation: Personal income tax, GST and recurring household charges for essential public utilities could be removed after independently tested replacement revenue became sufficient and dependable.
- Fair business contributions without double-dipping: Commercial enterprises would contribute on properly calculated business profit, supported by verified transaction records that prevent the same value from being taxed repeatedly through the supply chain.
- Essential services funded collectively: General Revenue would fund essential electricity, household water, sewage and other necessary public services.
- National economic regeneration: Australian-first procurement—or equivalent domestic-first policies in other nations—would help rebuild manufacturing, research, engineering, trades, apprenticeships and regional industries.
- National defence under democratic control: A professional Defence Force, trained citizen Reserve and voluntary National Service program would strengthen preparedness. A nation could defend itself immediately, while participation in a non-defensive overseas war would require democratic approval.
- Stronger safeguards against corruption: Public budgets, transparent contracts, independent audits, citizen oversight, whistleblower protection and the recall of representatives would make corruption more difficult to conceal.
The Five-Step Plan
FuturePlan presents five connected reforms that any nation can examine and adapt to its constitutional, legal, cultural and economic circumstances.
The proposals are intended to restore public authority, improve accountability, strengthen national independence and encourage peaceful prosperity. They are not a rigid formula. Every major reform should be openly debated, independently examined and approved by the people who will live under it.

Step 1: Put Power into the Hands of the People
Citizens would have a lawful process for proposing important changes, examining the evidence and deciding through secure, binding public ballots.
Government would remain subject to continuing citizen oversight between elections. Representatives could be questioned, reviewed, recalled and replaced through fair and clearly defined democratic procedures.

Binding digital voting would be introduced only after the system passed independent security, privacy, accessibility and election-integrity testing. Democratic participation must be convenient without sacrificing trust or ballot secrecy.

Local electorates of approximately 5,000 voters would allow communities to elect representatives they know and can hold directly accountable.
Local electorates would combine into regions, with voters directly choosing regional and national representation. Constitutional congresses would allow Australians to debate reforms before deciding upon them through binding referendums.

Businesses would make a National Business Contribution based on properly calculated commercial profit. Verified Contribution Passports would recognise business inputs and prevent the same value from being charged repeatedly through the supply chain.

A professional Defence Force and trained citizen Reserve would protect the nation under constitutional and democratic control. Australian-first procurement would rebuild manufacturing, research and trades. Overseas equipment would be used only where suitable domestic manufacture was genuinely unavailable.
Qualified Reserve members could securely keep assigned service weapons at home, strengthening national readiness and rapid mobilisation.
